INCLUSION CRITERIA

An entry belongs in this subdivision if and only if its operators read as obligation, permission, or prohibition, with a normative semantics (ideal worlds, preference, or normative transition).

Required: At least one of the following:
- Deontic operators (O, P, F) with a semantics of ideality or normative accessibility
- A treatment of conditional obligation, contrary-to-duty, or norm conflict
- An agency-based normative operator (STIT, deontic action) with a defined semantics

Not sufficient: Alethic necessity, knowledge, time, or bare action without a normative reading (respectively Alethic, Epistemic, Temporal, Dynamic).

Boundary: STIT and action logics belong here when the point is normative agency; pure action-transition modalities without deontic operators belong in Dynamic. Legal and moral argumentation traditions without a formal deontic semantics belong in Argumentation and Rhetoric.
