Technical communities form around shared tools. They persist around shared friction.

Formal verification has a reputation. Too expensive. Too slow. Too academic. Requires a PhD and a research team and a budget that only aerospace can justify.

You notice the work, not the mechanism. The carpenter sees the joint, not the chisel. The writer sees the sentence, not the keyboard. The reader sees the text, not the protocol that delivered it.

Every serious engineering discipline works in this order. Software does not. The fact that doing so is considered radical tells you how wrong the field is.
